Oven and induction cooktop electrical installation

Replacing an oven or changing to an induction cooktop? Will checks the appliance requirements and existing electrical supply, then explains the work needed for a safe installation.

Check the circuit before the appliance arrives

A replacement may be straightforward, while an induction cooktop can need a new dedicated circuit, suitable isolation or switchboard changes. Will assesses the installation against the appliance specifications and the condition of the existing wiring before quoting the work.

  • Electrical disconnection and installation of customer-supplied ovens
  • Electrical supply and connection for induction cooktops
  • Dedicated circuits and circuit protection where required
  • Switchboard assessment and electrical testing

What to send for a quote

Send the brand and model of the new appliance, a photo of its electrical specifications, photos of the existing oven or cooktop and switchboard, and your suburb. Let Will know if a gas appliance is being replaced so the separate gas disconnection can be arranged where needed. Access and existing wiring may need an on-site check.
